I am trying to perform a factory reset on a Laserjet P3015 printer. After I go to Configure Devices- Resets- Factory Reset Settings- OK. It doesn't reset the printer. It retains the current static IP address. I have power cycled the printer.

What am I missing?

I understand the MAC address doesn't change in a factory reset. I am not expecting the MAC address to change. I want the IP to change. However, you can factory reset a printer which will change the IP address. I have reset other printers before that have been statically assigned an IP address.

Release lease from the router, shutdown printer and turn it on. It will get a different IP address.
Depends on DHCP settings, if pool is lets say 192.168.0.1-100 and it gets 192.168.0.5 and all other IP's before that are taken 192.168.0.1-4, means it will once again take 192.168.0.5.

This is a business and I don't have access to the router. Our printers have a static number. Unfortunately, I have another identical printer with the same IP. Basically, I have two exact printers with the same IP address. One printer is in current use and the second one is the one I would like to reset and change the IP.
