Hi all,

CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Intel DZ77GA70K ATX LGA1155 Motherboard
Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Hard Drive: 2 x Intel 330 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
Case: Cooler Master HAF XM (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 (64-bit)
Keyboard: Microsoft SIDEWINDER X4 Wired Gaming Keyboard
Other: Pioneer Black 12X BD-R Internal BD/DVD/CD Writer BDR-207DBKS

Note: I am planning to OC, but only as high as I can go with the default voltage.

So I'm down to the last couple of components. My question now is about the CPU cooler.

My memory is going to be one of these:
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Memory: Corsair DOMINATOR 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
(Please feel free to comment on which one you think is best and why.)

I'm concerned about getting a CPU cooler that will fit without a problem alongside these rather tall memory modules.

I'm looking at:
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Will it fit without a problem?

Oh, one more question if I may. Is the thermal paste that comes with the cooler good enough, or should I spring for Arctic Silver 5?

Thanx

(Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I wasn't quite sure where to put it.)

The Corsair Dominator is the better memory as it has CAS 8 timings vs CAS 9 for the Vengance but then again you will push about 20GB/s memory bandwidth so I don't think it will make a major difference.

As for the thermal paste, AS5 is better than the stock CM stuff but Zalman=s STG2 is better and the best I have ever used is IC Diamond 24, but that stuff is harder to find. I think its on Amazon. It beats out AS5 by quite a bit.

Jimmy,

Thanx for the reply.

Not sure which memory you're looking at, but the 4x8GB 1600 kits I listed have CLs of 10. Do you have links to better 4x8GB 1600 kits?

And thanx for the paste tips. I will check them out.
