I have had this now and then in the past. But now its very frequent, like a couple of times a day, with programs across the board, my computer, my documents, iTunes, Firefox, you name it. I keep task manager up and going all the time, and never see cpu or memory caps; spikes rarely go above 75%. Drivers and win updates are kept up on. I have several updated virus/maleware programs and they don't pick up on anything.
I have heard a major hardware addition to the computer can cause this. Not sure on the time-frame of exactly when things started.. but the newest things I have added are a new monitor and new mouse.
