Totally useless. Air or water, you cannot pass 2050-2100 MHz. Card crash after that no matter what.

semi useless. Yes you cannot go above 2100~ because of the voltage lock of 1.092v but having a card load at 40c is really nice when you whole system is watercooled.

Got my card to 2205Mhz but it's not a palit or gainward.

Also if your one of the people that jumped in early on the reference designs then water cooling is an excellent idea to overcome the throttling they suffer. Though this might not fit a reference cooler model.
