Hi,

Last night windows 10 performed a mandatory update that took a significant amount of time. Since I've gotten on this morning my colors on my laptop are all overly pale/cool and washed out. Is there any way to fix this?

Laptop : Lenovo Y50, with intel 4600 and nvidia 860m

Thank you

Solution
The update probably reset display color settings. Right click in the desktop, click display settings, click "Advanced display settings", then "Color calibration." Just adjust until you get the look you want. :)

There is no advanced display settings with the stupid creators update, any idea where it is cos the washed out colors from the rubbish hdr (running an oled) is annoying as there is no option to disable hdr

I had the same problem. Tried updating Nvidia driver but still the same. I remembered having a similar problem on my win7 htpc a while ago where windows was not remembering that my monitor needs to display 0-255 black levels. I found a tool within MadVR called madLevelsTweaker.exe, which forces your monitor to always use 0-255. I tried it on my win10 pc and it worked a treat, so give that a go. You just need to run it once, tick the "Force PC Levels (0-255)" box, apply its changes and its fixed for good. Don't need to leave it running or anything.

Hey, i created an account to hopefully help you with the problem i experienced too. You have to manually search for it. Open up your display settings and type "calibrate color" or anything along those lines in the top left search bar and you should find it. The setting you want to adjust is your gamma setting.
