LCD or LED ?

Should i get an LCD or an LED monitor ? im gonna be gaming a lot of the time .
I found a good LG LED monitor , 1920x1080p 2ms response time , its the 21.5" LG LED 22EA53HQ monitor , it costs about 219$ . and i have a budget of about 220$ . Thanks all

Well first of all, all LED monitors/tvs are LCD. LEDs are usually thinner, lighter, and use less energy. They are not always better though.

What are you looking for in a monitor?

one thing to look at is how the backlighting is set up for the monitor and determine what way is the better for you ?? like between full - edge - dynamic.

I use a hdtv [32 led@60hz/46''lcd @120hz 1080] and this one I'm on now is a led and if you look up the backlighting and the types used you can see there can be a difference in the overall screen quality ..

I been using this for about 3 months now and I game on it everyday and not seen a issue with it so far and happy with it - no issues

but its up to you also when I don't use it for a monitor I can watch tv .. I don't get just a monitor why spend 220$ for 21'' that just does one thing when I can get 32'' that does 2 things ?? [opinion]
