LCD white, external works

I replaced a cracked LCD screen with the same exact model, screen is white, ive tried other spare screens and same thing, inverter is good. video will display on external.. what is going on?

Oh, also tried a spare ribbon cable and nothing.

Not sure it helps you, but for some thinkpads there were different lcd panels for the same laptop model. You needed to match the exact panel for the particular build's MB controller. Did you match the past numbers on the cracked LCD with the new one ?

Yes, always remove the screen first and check. It's a Dell laptop.
