There were a couple of posts in this forum in 02 and 03 regarding this, but now I think its ready for prime time. Anyone heard about this new technology? Liquid Crystal over Silicon is available in some large screen models by JVS (that's the only manufacturer I know about). Its related to both LCD & DLP, apparently its advantage is that it unlike DLP which uses a single chip (DMD - digital mirror device by TI) this uses three chips one each for RGB. It also approaches light delivery like an LCD. Of course, since they are newer they have a higher price tag (pesky economics) but they aren't too bad considering the supposed benefits.
Anyone see one of these in action??
