For Nvidias sake they will have to come out with a GPU to replace there 580 that literally would be like two GTX 580s in one chip I dont think they will come close to that mark they are still behind a generation on die shrinks.

Because you mentioned about the 78xx coming out, so i said mid-range and i used it to mention about the HD 7850 and HD 7870. However i still consider that AMD places the HD7770 and HD7750 at that price range to declare they are technically the successors to the HD6770 and HD 6750. So i stated that HD7770 and HD7750 are a disappointment and this disappointment also includes their price. Their price may drop later but at this moment people surely are not satisfied with them due to their price/performance rate.

And i talked about a fairy tale that AMD would release a new driver to improve their new GPUS performance because i wished it would be true, not because i love AMD or some kind like that. I wished because i wanted Nvidia to take it seriously,to release every of their cards with full potential performance and to place them at good prices that everyone will go for them without any arguments. And i wished that because i'd like to see AMD Ati challenge Nvidia even harder and i wished that because i like Nvidia better than AMD.

It's true that Intel manufactures superior CPU's. I do believe though, that as we see the continued convergence of the CPU and GPU onto a single die, that AMD has and will continue to have an obvious advantage having acquired ATI.

If intel could team up with Nvidia (this only makes sense to me apparently..??)...THAT would be awesome. I mean, I'd actually prefer to see them team up with AMD/ATI bc ATI chips are generally much less power hungry and it'd allow them to clock their new CPU/GPU's to a higher clock bc less heat prob, but that'll never happen.

Anyway, in a year or two, the vast majority of people will really not need a dedicated video card. These new combo chips will be doing a pretty damn good job of 3D rendering and video playback, program support ect.. It's a pretty exciting time 😀

There will still be a need of dedicated discrete GPUs in the future to run 2K and 4K monitors but for the mass majority of gamers an APU will fit the bill like you say.

Guys Guys, come on why does it always have to be a AMD Fanboys argument, when the original post was to be directed at all. Let us NVIDIA people have our hopes and dreams on our side of the pasture. Why must you guys always wait for a post such as this to say, This card is better well no dip its better. What video card can't be better than a low end. the purpose of the card is to do what its designed for. Nothing more nothing less. I mean you can't expect it to come out and be ready to play every game on Ultra like every other card. Its made for the end user to do what they need nothing more nothing less. Now lets get back on topic. KEPLER. what this post is actually titled not 7970 is better than this and that and the speculation about the 550 ti is gonna be the next whatever. Its all new idk what speculation you view it. Its all new technology.

I noticed you have the same SLI setup, are you getting kepler. Just a question from one NVIDIA fan to another. I mean do you think its gonna be worth it to upgrade?

I understand the appeal of not having to buy a video card to play games.

But who in the hell wants to be stuck with CPU/GPU being tied together and the added inability to upgrade one or the other when they become a bottleneck?

No thank you, I like my discrete GPU.

Exactly. ^^^^ +1
