can I ask a totally unrelated question Noko? Do you have a good understanding of monitors? I am curious as to one I picked up recently.

A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Not really and that does bring up why we don't see to many monitor reviews? It is about time we get one here at THG. I would like to know the difference between the different monitor types myself. My next major monitor will probably be a HDTV monitor 30 plus inches if not a projection type of 61 plus inches.

Well to eat your C   kie and have it too, gotta get Rade  n II

Well unlike processors and the like I think it has a lot to do with the fact monitors are harder to test being suited more for ones personal taste. I was wondering what you thought of this one:

Well if it works like mine (21", .25mm, 1600x1200, Trinitron) you will love it. Seems like the same tube as mine but mine is a Hewlett Packard A4331D. Text is very sharp, colors crisp, not to much to complain about. I use mine at 1280x960 at 85hz refresh rate. 1600x1200 is limited to 70hz so I don't use that resolution. Make sure you play around with the adjustments to optimize your monitor to your likings, I used mine for months before I relized that I could adjust colors and a whole bunch of other stuff which made it an awesome monitor.

Thanks for the reply it should have gone in the monior section but nobody ever goes there. I plan on using it at 1024x768 mostly coupled with my Radeon 64vivo for DVD playback. I do like the fact that I can hook up two computers to one monitor with this one.

Man, you are making me jealous  , I wished my monitor had that duel VGA input capability. That monitor begs for higher resolutions then 1024x768, just a side note.
