So, I will be doing my first ever PC build, and I already have a 32 inch LED smart tv.
Can I use this as the monitor to save some money on the build? I have heard that gaming monitors need to have good refresh rates and smaller response time for good gaming experience. The refresh rate for the above TV is 100 Hz, but I cannot find out what's the response time is.

Here is the build I am going for -
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
MSI 1060 6GB DUAL FAN
ASUS B 350 PLUS

I am basically looking for good 1080p experience.

Sure you can use it if you want to :)
But if you play games like Quake, CS, Unreal Tournament, Or other FPS games that involves alot of fast mouse movements the screen can be alittle "choppy"

But if you play games like Skyrim, Sim city, Dark Souls, World of Warcraft (etc etc etc) there will not be mutch difference and there should be no problem at all.
Your TV is not true 100Hz. Hardly any TV is thanks to false marketing...
Overall for most TV`s you can take the number they flash at you and cut it in about the half, 90% of the time...

Your TV is listed with: Motion flow technology XR 100 Hz and that is a post processing that adds "fake" frames to the scene (and latency)
But it is in fact a 60Hz and not 100Hz.

Still confused? Here is the long explaination if you wanna read about it: https://www.cnet.com/news/what-is-1080p24/

On a side note if you dont play mutch FPS (fast FPS) there should not be mutch of a problem overall.

So is it ok if I use this TV as a monitor, even though it is not true 100Hz? I mean I really don't know much about how these things will effect gaming (fps) in general.
