Led strip in a pc

Hi, i would like to add a red led strip into my case, and since it's 12 volts i think i could plug it to a molex. Is it a good idea or should i plug it somewhere else? I saw some videos and they plug it to the 3 pin.

You can plug the LED strip anywhere. It doesn't matter if it's molex or 3 pin.

I have a NZXT Hue RGB LED controller in my i5 system and it is really nice. Already setup for PC and can be set to many different colors as well as cycling though several. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992011 . But as far as a 12v LED strip yes you could make it work with the 12v on the PSU should be no problem.
