[SOLVED] LEDs on motherboard

Hey peeps, I've got the MSI B350m Mortar and it has the red LEDs on the back and I'm now switching my build colour so they wont match the new colour scheme I'm going with. The MSI gaming app allows me to turn them off completely but in doing that I can't use the new LED strips I got as it needs to be turned on to do so. SO my question is, could I remove the LEDs completely or cover them up using electrical tape? If not I'll have to buy a new motherboard as the red glow will annoy me xD Cheers for any help in advance.

It won't hurt anything to cover them as leds give off very little heat.

...and I wouldn't use electrical tape because it gets gummy over time.

use anything non conductive but not gummy.
