Left cpu unboxed from amazon for about which is the i7 4790k

I had to wait for my other parts coming in, and now I'm wondering if the cpu can get damaged if enclosed, and being not being used for about a month from the date of receiving the item. It is brand new. Should I request a replacement?

How exactly do you think the CPU is getting damaged by being in the box?

There are brand new in the box 3rd generation CPUs still out there, and they will work just fine.

A CPU isn't something that goes bad in our life times if stored in a proper place (IE doesn't get moisture)
