Today, I checked my BIOS specs in windows and it said that it was in legacy mode.I have gigabyte b85m motherboard. When I ran BIOS,it wrote on top 'UEFI-DUAL BIOS'.I have set my pc to boot in UEFI and Legacy mode.In what mode am i currently booting and if it is legacy will it support things such as 3Tb hdd and other UEFI features?I ask that because I want to buy a 3 Tb hdd and uefi supports up to 9,4 zettabyte.I have also heard that uefi uses much less lines of code than legacy and that means that it is faster

UEFI vs Legacy is about how the BIOS hands off control of the PC to the OS at boot-time.

If the BIOS supports 3TB HDDs, it will support them in either mode. Even if it does not, you only need the BIOS to support your primary boot device and not crash due to the unsupported drive's presence. Once the OS takes over, BIOS limits become irrelevant since the OS will do its own detection and use its own drivers.
