Lego Batman for PC

When I try to install the game I get thie message....

This setup will perform an upgrade of "c(with a squggle underneath the c)I". Do you want to continue.....

After pressing yes I then get this message....

Error applying transforms. verify that the specified transform paths are valid.
D:\1033.mst....

After which the installation crashes.

I had the game running spome time ago but got fed up with it so I uninstalled it. Operating system then was Vista (service Pack 2)

Operating system now is Windows 7 (ultimate)

I do not expect any replies but some would be helpful and I would be very grateful if I get an answer to my problem.

Try running it in compatibility mode. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

Thanks 'hang-the-nine' for the prompt reply.
I have tried running the program as an administator and in compatability modes from W95 through to Vista (Service pack 2) but I get the same result.
