Lenovo G500 CPU upgrade

Hi guys,

I have notebook Lenovo G500 with Intel Pentium 2020m CPU and HM76 chipset. I would like to upgrade CPU to Core i5 3230m, but Im'not sure if it works...On Lenovo's official web site I found list of G500 supported CPUs. Core i5 3230m was there, but I don't know...

What's your opinion about that? Thanks for your answers.

An i5-3230M will work fine. It's the HM70 chipset that doesn't support anything higher than a Pentium, so you'll be fine with your HM76. You can go up to a Core i7-3540M.
