So I just saw a deal for Lenovo H520s-57310http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/...&category_id=34294F13CE4B1A2EFDCFAA6B11BB1C0D721. I am currently looking for a HTPC but I don't know exactly what I want. Does anyone have an opinion about using this model as a HTPC? I am really wanting it for streaming, but the DVR function of WMC is a must. I bought a HDHomerun network tuner a little while back while it was on sale, although I haven't had an opportunity to use it yet, so I don't need a tuner card.

That computer has some very nice specs. It's actually a bit overboard for HTPC duties. However, it comes with Windows 8 which does not come with WMC that you need for DVR functions and DVD playback. Microsoft will let you add WMC to Windows 8 Pro for a $10 fee, but you can't just add WMC to the standard Windows 8 (non-pro version). You would have to pay for the Pro Pack upgrade which is a $100 upgrade to get WMC.
