I have in the shop with me today a Lenovo IdeaPad 100, running Windows 10. It was brought in to me as the screen is VERY Dim, not as though the brightness has been turned right down, but as if there is NO brightness at all. I have to use a bright LED torch to see what's on the screen.
My first though was a backlight / screen issue, but after a bit of digging, I altered the registry FeatureTestControl and this seemed to fix the issue. After a few restarts, it's back to being broken again and I can't resolve it. All display drivers are up to date and the brightness function buttons on the keyboard work (moving the brightness slider), but no change occurs.
Please help
Thank you
