Question Lenovo ThinkBook Factory Reset

I have a Lenovo ThinkBook 16 G7.

Is it better to reinstall the operating system and software using the Lenovo Recovery USB disk to do a factory reset, or is it better to reinstall clean using Windows 11 Pro installation media?

I would use a new Installer produced from the 2nd link here - https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11

And then once installed visit the Lenovo website and run its update function.

More likely to have a newer version of windows 11 that way, less updates after the install.

Having done both, I would agree with Master Colif. Both are a path to the same place, but using the Windows Media Creator will likely take less time. The Lenovo Recovery Service installs a recovery image of the original OS install, which is a lengthy process unto itself, then needs to be updated. OTOH, once the WMC has completed it's work, you will need to install the Lenovo app, which will download and install all the Lenovo specific drivers.
