[SOLVED] Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E520 with damaged USB slot-in card.

Hello all.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E520 and the USB slot-in card, pictured below, is damaged and needs replacing.




I want to know if I can upgrade it to USB 3.0 or if the laptop wont support it.

If you want USB 3.0 you need the docking station that comes with two USB 3.0 ports, the docking station has it own power adapter. The laptop's USB 2.0 ports can't deliver the power required by USB 3.0 standard.
