i am using Lenovo Z510 which comes with 1tb+8gb SSHD installed in SATA 3 port r/w 6 Gb/S and an optical DVD drive 9.2mm IN SATA 1.0 r/w 1.5 Gb/S
so i am thiking of upgrating the storage

option 1:
Remove the SSHD and install an M2 drive WD Blue M.2 SSD ,Read Speed 560MB/s , Write Speed 530MB/s , 1TB with the help of an adapter
ORICO M.2 NGFF to SATA SSD Enclosure SSD Case Support NGFF M.2 2280 2260 2242 2230 SSD with B Key Up to 2TB 6Gbps
and also use an
Optical Bay 2nd Hard Drive Caddy, Universal for 9.5mm CD/DVD Drive Slot
caddy to install my SSHD in place of optical drive

option 2:-
Remove the SSHD and install directly in place of SSHD
Western Digital Blue 1TB Internal Solid State Drive Read Speeds up to 560MB/s and Write Speeds up to 530MB/s.
and
Optical Bay 2nd Hard Drive Caddy, Universal for 9.5mm CD/DVD Drive Slot
caddy to install my SSHD in place of optical drive

which is the best option 1 or 2nd
also there is any way i can install M2 SSD NVME in my laptop???

Solution
I would consider a 2TB SATA III SSD.
2.5" form factor instead of M.2/NGFF. Direct drop in replacement for the existing SSHD.

But, a 1TB and your existing drive in the DVD caddy might work.

And no, you can't put an NVMe drive in this laptop.
