Lens not attached error? (Nikon D5200)

Hey guys.

So recently I purchased a 35mm 1.8g prime lens in order to replace my kit lens that I've been using. After a day of testing around with it I got the "Lens not attached" error, although when I moved the lens around a bit while attached it would recognize it.

Now it's not able to recognize it at all, I've tried moving the lens again, reconnecting it, and in fact my kit lens is no longer detected on it as well, indicating it is a problem with the body itself.

What is the possible solution to this?


Just for assistance I own a Nikon D5200.

I would take the battery out and wait a few minutes but it back in and see if that helps to recognize the lens. If not then I would call Nikon.
