Hey guys,

I've got 6600 GT's in SLI.

and I've heard I can reach some really high resolutions.

Currently I'm playing games on 1280 x 1024...

But I'm not sure how I can get up to 1600 x 1200

In game options it doesnt go that high - so what exactly do I need to do to play games in a higher reso than I currently am???

im pretty sure that in most games it disables resolutions u cant play at, but if u have a 19/21 inch crt and ur max is 1280 then im prob wrong, but if u have a 17/19 inch lcd the max supported res is usually 1280

what kind of monitor do you have? lcd's have a native resolution which is where you'll get the best picture quality. crt's don't.

I know there is a way for your monitor can exceed it's max res. but it usually has some disastrous effect. hehe, overclocking mointors, whats next?

Most 19 inch monitors only support up to 1280 x 1024

I think you have to go up to 20 inch or above to get to 1600 x 1200 🙁

Most 19 inch CRT screens support 1600x1200, and a few 17 inch CRT can have that resolution too.

LCD on the other hand is 20 inch for 1600x1200
