We have a Lexmark xs736de, and it works fine. However, when we have our receptionist print labels or special paper, they typically put them in the regular paper tray. When they go to print labels, they have to walk over to the printer to manually hit "OK" for it to print. They'd prefer that it would automatically print, so that they don't have to walk across the office each time they send a label print job to it. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? I've looked through manuals and FAQ's on Lexmark's site and haven't found anything.

Thank you!

its asking you because your tray is probably set to A4 plain paper or Letter plain paper, depending on region. The printer is making sure you have labels loaded before it prints in case you forgot to put the labels in. I believe there is a setting to ignore this if you really want to. Give the Lexmark support number a call, they should help you out.

Thank you for your input. I'm not too familiar with Lexmark, but I just found out that they have a live chat option on their website, which is fantastic. I've found the solution, for anyone else out there that may ask the same question:

1.Power off the printer.
2.Hold down buttons 2 and 6 at the same time.
3.While holding down 2 and 6, power the unit on.
4.Hold 2 and 6 until config menu comes up.
5.Go to "Paper Prompts and make sure it's set to AUTO
6.Go to "Action for Prompts" and change it to CONTINUE.

Submit changes.
