Question Lexmark Printer Toner / Drum Issue

I have a Lexmark XS463de mono laser printer. It has been having print quality issues with prints appearing dirty. I removed the cartridge and cleaned the drum which was pretty dirty. Put it back in and no improvement. I remove the drum and clean it again and no improvement. It seems to get soiled immediately. Also, when I fit the cartridge into the drum mechanism the 4 round wheels don't fully seat into the drum mechanism though there doesn't seem to be any way to mate them more closely and the printer seems to work fine otherwise. If the cartridge wasn't seated properly with the drum I don't think it would print at all. Any thoughts? Thanks.

maybe replacing drum and eventually the cartdridge as well could help

Thanks. The drum is nearly new (I replaced it when I took ownership of the printer). The cartridge is half full and is a Lexmark extra capacity cartridge so I'm reluctant to just toss it if there is any other solution that I'm overlooking.

Worn wheels? Printer age? Pages printed?

Are you certain that the toner cartridge is a real Lexmark product and not some third party or refurbished toner cartridge?

Hi. The emulation page count is about 35,000. Though it also says that total printed sheets is 138,128 so maybe that's the better number. The original drum was pretty worn but after I replaced it it worked fine. My brother got the printer at a local computer shop and I inherited it a couple years ago. It worked great then. I will try to attach 4 images. Image of the printout showing darkness, Image of the wheels not fully seating in the drum apparatus, Image of the clips at the bottom of the cartridge that indicate that the cartridge is indeed fully seated, and a final image of the cartridge label illustrating that it is OEM. The printer screen indicated a half full cartridge. Image link:
