Hey guys, I recently built a new PC and have been basically playing on my 4K TV at 60hz and I'm ready to upgrade to a proper gaming monitor. I think I've narrowed it down to two selections.
I believe the main difference between the two are the panel types, the LG is an IPS while the Dell is a TN.
The LG is about $50 more and through Amazon, so I have to worry about the process of it shipping during the busiest time of the year, and if it's defective the horrible RMA process.
The Dell is available for pick up at my local Best Buy and is $50 cheaper, but a TN panel. However, I would instantly have the monitor and an easy way to return if needed.
Do you recommend IPS over TN for general gaming? I play a lot FPS games, and I don't really do any editing or photo work, so I'm not sure how much the IPS panel is going to impress me in games.
Thank you for your advice and time!
