Lg Bluray Drive Won't Play Bluray Disks

I hope someone can help me with this, it's driving me nuts. I had to do a system format and everything is working great except my bluray drive, an LG ch12ls28, isn't playing bluray disks anymore. It will play regular dvds and cds, but not blurays. I have updated the drives firmware to the latest version but still no dice. Before the format it worked fine so i'm not really sure what the issue is. I've been using the latest version of Powerdvd and it keeps saying the disk is corrupted which i know it isn't. I'm still using XP pro which i realize is ancient but the drive was working fine before the format. The system is an HP m8125x. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't my main system, i just keep it around as a spare media pc. It's frustrating because it was working before and id like to try and figure out why its not functioning properly now.
