I recently bought a 23.6" LED IPS LG monitor (model: 24MP55HQ), connected using HDMI, and I'm having an issue with it. Every time there's something (text, image) black on a gray background (or gray on black background), there's a white halo around it, which is causing a lot of eye fatigue, especially on small fonts.
An image to understand:

(took the picture with my phone)

As far as I know, this is usually caused by sharpness. But It's already on 0. Can't get it any lower.

Other details that I think are relevant:
- 1920x1080
- Windows 7

Any ideas?

PS: I already tried disabling ClearType. It made it worse and almost unreadable.

I found the problem. In the functions menu it has a "Super resolution+" option which was enabled and which increases the sharpness. I disabled it and it looks much better. Just thought I'd share the solution, in case someone else runs into the same problem.
