I have an RCA tv and a INSTEN adapter also a HDMI cable and a LG phone with Netflix I plug everything in and it does not show up on the Tv is there special settings on the phone I need to change?

Exactly what are the models of everything you have? INSTEN RCA and LG are just brands they make a lot of products with a lot of different capabilities.
