Lg usb write protectected

i tried formating my flash drive,then an error message comes up telling me that the drive has been write protected

You could right-click on that drive's letter> Properties> Security> Edit permissions to allow Write for your user.

pls i did not see SECURITY under the properties menu

run->Type Regedit->search " StorageDevicePolicies" --> open Write Protected File and and change the value into " 0 "

If not found, you need to create the key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\

moreso i could not find currentcontrolset under the SYSTEM

you need to open regedit and do a search for StorageDevicePolicies.
If found, modify the key WriteProtect in the right pane to change it's value to 0.
If not found, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\ , create a key named StorageDevicePolicies and then create a key WriteProtect in the right pane, give it a value of 0. Save and reboot.

pls i have create the storageDevicePolicies but i dont know how to create the WriteProtected key,also i dont understand wat u mean by right pane

When you select the StorageDevicePolicies, on right half of the screen right-click> new> key and create WriteProtect, then edit it and give value 0.

pls how can i edit cos there is no option of such after creating the writeprotect

Double-click on WriteProtect and change the value data to 0.
