LGA 1155 cpu with LGA 1156 waterblock

Hi,

I have a 1155 socket cpu and motherboard and one of my friends gave me a cpu waterblock that's compatible with the 1156 socket.

Will I be able to use the 1156 waterblock on my 1155 cpu/motherboard?

Without knowing the specific waterblock, I won't know. But 9 times out of 10 the people that make coolers, waterblocks, etc make them for several sockets so they are more versatle.

Sorry for the late reply, all I could find out about it, is that it is a XSPC RASA CPU waterblock, and it supports sockets 775, 1366 and 1156
