I was recently given a processor for free. A friend heard I wanted to build a system and gave me an Intel i5-750 that he never used.

That being said, I've realized that LGA 1156 is outdated. I can hardly find any 1156 boards.

I have found a few on amazon and ebay, such as this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Gigabyte-GA-H55M-S2V-Rev-1-4-Motherboard-Intel-H55-Express-LGA-1156-DDR3-/111245618327?pt=Motherboards&hash=item19e6c16c97

I am wondering if there are any incompatibilities I may run into using this older technology. Are there any connectors that I will need that won't be present on a 1156 board such as the one I linked to? Are there any other hurdles I'll encounter that you guys can think of? I intend to overclock, but not go nuts, in case that is significant.

Thank you very much for your time.

If your going to overclock make sure you have a decent CPU cooler as the stock one isn't going to do well, That said the motherboard is outdated and so is the CPU as you already know, there shouldn't be that many incompatibilities as I used to have a really old desktop about 1 year ago and it played the games of today without much problems, only problem was is the parts weren't that powerful and since technology has gotten newer, the performance of parts has gotten much more powerful so the main problems will be that the CPU can't handle the game or the CPU will bottleneck your other components such as your graphics card. That said it will do most things fine.
