LGA 2011 vs LGA 1150

Which is the format is the latest? What is the best motherboard for each.

well, 1150 is the latest, but the i7's run on 2011. and they both have amazing mobos.

Best depends on budget, and use.

LGA 2011, also called Socket R, is a CPU socket by Intel. It replaces Intel's LGA 1366 (Socket B) and LGA 1567 in the performance and high-end desktop and server platforms.[1] The socket has 2011 protruding pins which touch contact points on the underside of the processor.

LGA 1150 is designed as a replacement for the LGA 1155 (known as Socket H2). LGA 1150 has 1150 protruding pins to make contact with the pads on the processor.

I would personally never spend that much on a motherboard. Typically $300 is the MOST I would EVER spend if it was my own money.

IMO LGA2011 Is not worth it unless you do alot (and I mean ALOT) of video editing or work that requires 6 cores
but if you do:

Intel-Core i7 4820K + Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 OR Asrock X79 Extreme 11

i agree, go with socket 1150. and you really dont need to spend more than $150 on a mobo unless you want all the features they offer.
