Question Lian Li 011 Evo

I have never had a significant issue with any Lian Li case for the price point. My current gaming rig is inside an 011D and it has been a great case to build in, good temperature regulation with various fan and cooler options, and looks great to boot.

No issues with my O11 Evo. This is not a 'conventional'(might not be the right word here) case though.
This case is a waste over the other O11 models if the user isn't going to make use of the extra options that the others don't offer.

Thanks for the useful information.

The main reason I was considering the EVO over the standard 011 is that I can have a rear exhaust fan fitted and apparently cable management is easier on the EVO, is this true ?

I plan on running a 240mm rad at the top, and three 120mm fans at the side/front. Then run two 140s at the bottom

Would I be wasting money buying the EVO over the standard ?

Thanks

Just seen this diagram

It states you can only fit 3x120s at the bottom on the O11 but not 2x140s ?

Yes, you can install a fan at the rear, but so what? That was never an issue for the original that didn't support any fans; if anything, that was a fanless intake for top mounted AIOs and it just needed a filter.
I turned my Evo into a chimney case by placing it on 2x4s, sealed off the rear fan slot and unused PCIe slots with construction paper. The gpu is installed using the upright gpu kit.

Easier cable management? I'm not seeing it.

While it may not use the same fan sizes, that's a typical setup that the other O11s can do, so yes, it's a waste.

What's unique to the O11Evo are the optional kits(upright gpu, front mesh, top I/O, additional I/O) and inverted mode. Don't use at least one of them, then the case doesn't really offer anything.

OK understood. I would consider a front mesh in the future though.

I have decided For now I'd like to keep all my current fans which would mean having a 240mm rad top. 120mm exhaust. Then two 140mms at the front/side.

According to my UK supplier the standard 011 does not support 140s so I would rather have the flexibility of the EVO..

I'm having trouble figuring what you mean by this.

Possibility of having a front mesh in future
Exhaust at the rear
Possibility of having 140mm fans and not just 120mms
Also slightly bigger in dimensions meaning a bit more clearance.

Also RGBs at the front are a nice touch.
