Hmmmm, the front bezel is lockable - presumably so that nobody can accidentally access the 'power' button. Only, what's to prevent someone from yanking out the plug on the back?! Seems like a feature that could be easily omitted to lower the manufacturing costs...

build one...

it doesn't take that much power to run a NAS like freeNAS...if you find a used but working PC, just add a few of your own HDD and install any of free NAS OS on very small HDD (OS takes less than 500MB for linux-based NAS)...

I used to run FreeNAS 8, but find that my QNAP works way better. Got it for about $800 CAD, and popped my 1TB drives that I had in my FreeNAS box into it. Way better than FreeNAS IMHO.
