Additional Comments: I am trying to help a friend upgrade their laptop. They are on the road a lot and wants something smaller and lighter. The laptop they have now weight 6-7 pounds and now they want something 3 pounds or under and with a 14 inch screen. Those are the only two requirements and I am having trouble locating a laptop.

look at ultrabooks. They are super light weight, and exactly what you are describing.

Yeah, I defiantly know they are the way to go. Unfortunately I have yet to find one that has a 14 inch screen and is 3 pounds or under.

I love my 14" thinkpad t420. But that's 4.31 lb.
