I noticed recently that in My Windows 7 Pro computer (my main machine) my Linksys
router is showing up in Device Manager as a System Device? Not only the existance of the router, but the actual name I changed the router to a while back.
I uninstalled it, and it seemed to affect nothing . . . but not long after it reappeared. I then disabled it and it stays disabled. What could cause this behavior? It's a Linksys WRT3XX and is not connected via USB. I checked my other machines, both Win 7 and Win 10, and this phenomena appears nowhere else. I have never seen this behavior before.
I'm stumped.
