Linksys WPC100 random connection

Yes i am using a Linksys WPC100 windows xp and my router is a Linksys E800 and my WPC will drop connection at random times and i was wondering if there is a way to fix this?

OK the first link is to an adapter. But i doesn't say what frequency it uses.

The second link doesn't work for me - it switches countries.

So hopefully the router and adapter are at the same frequency eg 2.4GHz.If thye work at all they should be.

The next thing is the distance apart. Ideally they should be less than 20m and in line of sight.

i have does everything even move my laptop 5 feet from the router and stills drops connection..and someties wont even connect as it is..i have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times the drivers for my wireless card and also rebooted my router a dozen times..my laptop if helps is an IMB Think pad dont know model number!

If your only 5 feet away there's something wrong with the adapter. Try an ethernet cable instead - from the router to the ethernet socket on your laptop.

i ended up swapping out adapters and now its working fine...
