News Linus Torvalds returns to clackety-clack Cherry MX Blues — the low-profile quiet keyboard lifestyle wasn't for him

I definitely prefer a mechanical keyboard, as does my wife. We use a wired, full-size DasKeyboard on a Mac, with the numbers on the side as well as the top. As one tech expert said on a music tech forum "a wireless keyboard and mouse is a solution to a problem that does not exist".

Although probably irrational, I really dislike the minimal fashion of some Apple users - Apple computer, bluetooth keyboard (without side numbers) and bluetooth mouse and nothing else on the desk. Computers are sophisticated work tools, not art - how can you work in such a prissy atmoshere?

The side numbers are called a numpad. And its not at all irrational to dislike keyboards without numpads. One example why are calculator apps... it takes much much longer to use a calculator app if you don't have a numpad.
