Hello everyone! So I've been using Linux for about 2 years now, I went from Ubuntu, Fedora, and now up to Arch Linux. But alot of games I want to play are for Windows only. I don't have a CD-Rom or 4GB Thumbdrive, only a 2GB.
Is there a way to install Windows within Linux? I've bought Windows 98, XP, 7, and 8 on disk.

*Sorry if I posted this in the wrong forum, 1:02 AM here...

I wouldn't mind formatting Linux, I can get over those days.

1. First of all you are going to have to make sure that you have Java Downloaded
2. Now that we have Java downloaded and installed you need to download Windows 7. Once downloaded install Winrar. Make a new folder on your desktop. It doesn't matter what you name it. For ease just used the default New Folder. Then open extract the ISO file for Windows 7 into the new folder with Winrar.

Now that the files from the ISO are extracted into your new folder you should see a blue folder icon named "Setup Windows Installer" just double click it. The Windows 7 installer will open up and give you two options click Install now. You want to use "Custom Install" then select you hard drive you will be using.

Windows will now start to install, Now you just have to wait. Your computer will reboot randomly through this installation this is normal when it is done installing windows should restart with Windows 7

I've tried this last year, it didn't work. But also wouldn't that be pirating (and illegal)?
*I once again the 3rd time selected best answer accidentally. I'm used to having the reply button big and green on my old forums.

Don't have a job, only money I get is from my servers. But I'm not going to spend money from donations and from all players that join on hardware I'll use one time.
I'll just stick with Linux and give up, I wish there were easier ways other than paying.

You say that you have legal copies XP, Windows 7, and Windows 8. They are of little use to you without the means to install them, so just sell one on eBay. That will more than cover the cost of a suitable flash drive or external optical drive.

I'm afraid that I've lost patience with this. You have been offered several good suggestions and you seem unwilling to consider any of them. You claim to have legal copies of Windows and then start talking about pirating.

If you can't afford a cheap USB drive or DVD drive, which you will surely have more than one use for, and you aren't willing to sell one of your multiple copies of Windows then there is no helping you.
