Linux Wifi Card Question

I need for a low budget wifi card (under $40) for my Linux desktop, but I have no idea what I should be looking for, could someone give me suggestions? (btw I don't want to get a USB one because all my USB ports are USB 2.0)

Well, the USB adapters are 2.0 compatible. Will it be internal then? PCIE? Basically you can just search newegg.com or tigerdirect for compatible (Linux driver) wifi cards.

If your budget is $40 then just get a powerline Ethernet adapter.

That will be better then wifi for most situations, and you don't have to worry about Linux compatibility.
