Liquid Cooling AIO: Enable or Disable BIOS CPU Smart Fan control for pump?

Is it safe (wise) to enable BIOS smart fan control for my pump or should I continue to run it at 100%?

Wouldn't it be smarter to connect my pump to the the sys pins, turn off smart fan control so it runs 100% then connect my radiator fans to the cpu pins and set the smart fan control on?

Yes my bios will throttle my radiator fan speeds, and this is my first liquid cooler.

What you have suggested is exactly what I would do.

Pump should always be at 100% to allow for optimal cooling. The FANS however should be controlled.
