Lite-On or HP?

I am thinking of buying either a Lite-On 1210 Burn-proof or a HP 9150i. Of course I would prefer a Plex but can't afford one. The Lite-On is about 15% dearer but faster and Burnproof. What to do? Got any experiences with either drive? (Trouble reading CDs burnt with them in other people's CD-Rs?, etc.) Also; who made the drive mechanisms? According to one reseller the HP is a 'C4459C' (HP's designation) but with 4 MB cache, which HP (Denmark) tell me they do not carry. Odd, I think.

i have a 9100i i can't do anything while i burn a thing and i have to have it at 4 x to burn a cd with out skips and down to 2x for programs i can't realy use the 8x ever bu this could be to the fact that my sytems 1 and a half and it has slower hard drive than avible today
