Ok...I may be living in the past here and I need for you guys to tell me to get off the nostalgia trip and move on if you think it is time...ha ha!
I love a program for recording music called Cakewalk Pro Audio 9. I have worked with it for years and I love its editing functions and other aspects because it is so simple. I have produced great recordings...however! It will not work with windows 8. I've tried everything!
If I built a computer just to run this software what would it look like? I'd have to run 32 bit operating system...maybe xp? I do not want to connect it to the internet so it would be like a stand alone unit.
Could you guys come up with a system to run this thing? OR am I barking up the wrong tree? The new software for music production is kind of a letdown...it doesn't sound any better...What do you thin about this entire idea?
Otherwise you're going to force me to build a new desktop...Ha Ha!
