New Acer desktop bought with windows 7.
Made mistake of windows 10 upgrade.
wanted to back our and reinstall windows 7.
Local hack reformatted C drive and tried to install Windows 7 from CD.
Unable to complete 7 installation and reinstalled 10.
Bought and installed new hard drive and tried to install 7. When the colored balls appear they begin to rotate then freeze.
I have an Acer Veriton model M4630G and new windows 7 CD.

During the install of Win 7, you need to delete all the existing partitions on the drive.

When it asks 'where', select Custom.
You'll be presented with a list of all partitions.
Delete ALL of them, resulting in one large blank space.
Install to that, letting Windows create what it needs.

And of course, you're booting from your Win 7 DVD, correct?

The CD loaded fine on my laptop. The usual solutions are not the solutions needed. It probably has something to do with a modified BIOS. I will keep searching. Thanks for trying.
