One of my computers connected to the network per ethernet cable running Windows 7 has stopped connecting to the internet !!
I turned my computer on this morning and I saw that there was a yellow triangle displayed on the right hand side tray, I first restarted my router with no luck.
After that I did a windows problem solving thing with an error message saying:
"Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration
I look around on the forums and Googled about the problem and have already done a few things that were suggested like:
- reset my WINSOCK LSP and TCP/IP stack settings
- fixed the "Windows cannot find 'UpdateTool.exe' " error, supposedly caused by Origin
- reinstalled the network adapter driver with the motherboard driver disk
- changed the Local area Connection IPv4 properies
- tried connecting in safe mode
- and disabled IPv6 related things on my computer as well as on my router
Does anybody have any other ideas ?
Every little bit of help is much appreciated,
Thanks
