Local area connection is experiencing hardware and driver related problems

Solution
Cable would be "hardware related problems".

Do try another known working Ethernet cable. And then another port on the router.

Open the Pavilion's case (power off) and check that all internal connections, cables, cards, etc. are in place and securely connected.

Then download and reinstall the drivers for your network adapter. Reconfigure for your network environment.

The objective is to narrow down the possible causes.

Graphics card? Versus network adapter....?

I think graphics card - do need to know for sure.

Double check all connections and cables.

Start by reinstalling the graphic's card drivers. (Or network adapter drivers - if the problem with networking.)

You should be able to download the applicable driver via the manufacturer's website.

If that does not work, please post again and add some details about what is or is not happening. I.e., the "driver related problems".

The desktop hp pavilion a1737c doesn't want to connect to the internet I bought a phone compatible with modem line cable but I know it's not the cable I get the message "the local area connection is experiencing driver or hardware related problems.
