lock switch is broken how do remove write protection from memory card

in my memory card a grey tab which is called lock is broken when it was in lok mode so can you pls help me how to remove write protection from it?

I have the write protected message on my Nikon CoolPix P500. Someone on this site before suggested putting a piece of scotch tape over the white (or whatever color) small button on the side of of the small card showing the GBs. It worked for me.
