Question Locked at 60 Hz on a 165 Hz monitor using DP??

This has been frustrating me all day. I have tried everything I could but can not get my monitor to run past 60 Hz using a DP cable. I don't know if the cable is bad since it is the same one that can get my Odyssey G9 to run around 120 Hz. (Tried CRU, NVIDIA Control Panel, the Customizable Resolution option inside the NVIDIA Control Panel, and the Windows 10 Advanced Display methods, even installed the latest monitor drivers and NVIDIA Graphics Drivers. Windows 10 and NVIDIA Control Panel only show 60, 59, and 50 Hz while CRU just doesn't change anything). Already plan on buying a new DP and a backup HDMI cable to at least see if 120-144 Hz will be achievable but considering what I mentioned before I almost doubt those will work too. Any help would be appreciated!
